I established Sisco Seafoods ten years ago, importing frozen exotic seafood from all over the world and selling it on, both wholesale and retail. When we bought a brand new building in Elstree for our headquarters, we needed a 5,000 square foot cold storage unit to be designed and built to quite exacting specifications.
I was introduced to Sanjai Talsania, a Director of Climate Control (South East) Ltd by another food company who were delighted with the new cold store he had designed for them. Sanjai was therefore one of a number of contractors I asked to give me an estimate for the job. His quote was not the cheapest, but it was clear that he knew what he was doing, and that he would give us better materials and better service for the money. At every stage Climate Control went one or two steps further than other companies would have done.
The cold storage unit is the single most important part of our operation, and I had to be sure it was in safe hands. It was a long process, and I was able to hand the whole project over to Sanjai, which allowed me the time to concentrate on doing what I do best, which is running my business. Sanjai was very hands-on, and was actually there in person a great deal of the time. He sourced the panelling, flooring, compressors, evaporators, all the electrical work and even the racking. Otherwise I would have had to negotiate with dozens of individual specialist contractors, which would have been a nightmare!
Climate Control also built a chiller room, which has to be maintained at four degrees centigrade for fresh fish, and a prep area, which has to be twelve degrees centigrade. I have already recommended Climate Control to colleagues in the business - I am so happy with their whole attitude. They took a lot of the burden off my shoulders, and went further than they had to, making sure the job was the best it could possibly be.
